NiGHTS Patriot of Dreams L Pro

(Laura Fynch) Her talent is being a magician. Her dream is to restore entertainment to the world. Now a-days the people in society have moved on to other means of spending their time such as blogging on the internet, playing video games, ect. Not many people like watching a good show anymore. Unfortunately, this is where her problem stems from. She wants to get people interested but can't pull off the real spectacular magic tricks without fear of messing up. Especially since these spectacular magic tricks are also known for being the most risky and deadly tricks. She has a great fear of messing up and looking like a fool. Not to mention potentially hurting herself or worse.

Her nightmare starts with her performing on stage with her performing group, the Royal Court. Go figure, a teenage girl gets her own performing group. They ready the explosive box while she balances on a tight rope. She swan dives right into the box and lands gracefully in. All is going well until she for some reason loses her nerve and the crowd is quiet. The box explodes with her in it and the opening pops open. She falls flat on her face covered in soot and coughing it out. The crowd starts laughing at her failure, the group members all look away, and Laura starts crying from the humiliation. Forget the pain of explosions, she just couldn't take the embarressment. But her crying stops after a few seconds as she sees everyone turning into those (Ever so lovely) Nightmaren clouds. She makes a run for it, but like Travis from elsewhere in Epicenter, she trips and falls to the Sea of Nightmare. But this time, someone comes to her rescue. A member of the Royal Court swoops down from the trapeze and saves her. This hero is the main hero of our story. The flying purple jester, NiGHTS. Laura looks up as NiGHTS flies her into the light which leads to her destination. The land of her dreams, Nightopia.

Laura: Ah...... Huh? Where am I?

Owl: HooHOO!!! Well done, NiGHTS. You rescued another one.

NiGHTS: Yeah. That was a close one. (I just wish I could have saved that other visitor. I really messed up there...)

Owl: Welcome to Nightopia, visitor.

Laura: Visitor.... you mean me?

Owl: Of course! This is your world after all. You are the visitor and I am your gracious host-

Laura: WAIT! I know you! You're Kaepora Gaebora!!!

Owl: Wait..... what? HOO?!

NiGHTS: (chuckling) Good one. The old bird doesn't get the joke.

Owl: I am simply known as The Owl. I don't have any specific name.

Laura: Okay. If you say so. Hee hee.

Owl: Well, you seem to have cheered up rather quickly. Usually it takes a little adjustment time when running away from those gastly Nightmaren.

Laura: You mean those things that attacked me?

Owl: Indeed.

NiGHTS: But you're safe now. Hey, you want to look around and see your world?

Laura: Uh, sure! Why not! This world must be huge, though.

Owl: It's only as huge as your imagination expands it. There are no limits to how you can make it.

NiGHTS: It'll get less complicated once you've seen it from a bird's-eye view.

Laura: Wouldn't I need to fly to see it like that?

NiGHTS: That's the plan! What? You think you'd just be walking? This is a dreamworld, you have full control of it. Why don't I show you what I mean.

Laura: How? How do I fly?

Owl: By touching NiGHTS.

Laura: Excuse me?

Owl: Physical contact from your hand to her hand will make the two of you Dualize.

Laura: Dualize?

Owl: Surely you know what it means.

Laura: Oh, of course. Where our bodies become one. Okay. So I do this? (Puts her hand out)

NiGHTS: Yup! (Connects her hand with Laura's) Now the magic and the fun begins!
