MISSION 02: CRAZY CLOUD FLAG-CAPTURE

I can’t believe I end up… Uh… Never mind! On to the mission! Our flight began and we head upward to the north past the city of Cloudsdale and into a huge mass of storm clouds all set up in a high category degree. In other words, we were potentially flying into a deathtrap JUST to recover a flag. Apparently the logic behind that is “What better way to test their abilities than to put them in the REAL danger?!” Well, to be fair, they weren’t active at the time, so going into it seemed safe enough at the time.

But once we got in, that’s when things turned south for us! We looked around the flag in the puffy mass until the clouds started to turn dark. Just then, we saw something strange in front of us. The clouds themselves were starting to move and make shapes while darkening all around us, but in front of us, a single formation of them shaped itself to look like the head of a unicorn. Then it made something happen that almost scared me witless! A pair of glaring eyes with a green and red glow beamed right into me. It was at this point that I thought I was losing my mind again!

Flash: Those eyes… Those eyes! They’re following me!

Shining Armor: Flash! What’s wrong?!

Flash: They’re… haunting me… When will they stop?!

Thunderclap: What are you talking about?! What eyes?!

Heavyweight: Focus, Flash! We got a job to do! And it looks like the clouds are about to- *They see lightning strike around them and hear thundering booms* DO THAT!!!

Shining Armor: Snap out of it! Keep us safe, Flash!

Flash: Huh?! *Reacts and snaps out of it* ACK! Right! *Looks ahead and sees the first one coming* DODGE TO THE LEFT! THEN ASCEND!

All 3: ROGER!

So it came time for me to do my job. I helped direct them through while avoiding the lightning bolts and providing evasive support. I had to keep my focus on or we would’ve been fried at light speed! All the while, we searched high and low for the flag. And the longer we took, the worse it was getting. We had to find it fast! I can never forget how frantic that was! When we finally did find the flag, we grabbed it and ran back as fast as possible. But because we were trying to find a quick way out, we almost got blindsided by a stray bolt coming from above!

Flash: Huh?! ACK!!!

Thunderclap: INCOMING!

Shining Armor: Don’t worry! I’ll deflect it with a- HUH!?

In my mind, I must’ve known that there was no way to dodge a bolt coming in as fast and as big as that. So all I could do was move. The spear started pulsing in my hooves again like it did when I fought Ka’ah. I quickly flew all the way to the chariot and got in the lightning bolt’s way with my spear pointed directly at it as if I thought I could deflect it. I was able to keep the bolt from hitting the others, but I was knocked out from the shock. It all happened so fast that I’m surprised that I’m able to remember it so well.
