Verse 09

The Rainbooms and Egos of Flash Drive all leave the gymnasium and head outside on the front porch. Flash feels that he’d rather be around The Rainbooms so he could be closer to their light of hope. The Rainbooms are taking a moment to think about what happened and wonder why their magic didn’t work.

Flash: So something definitely WAS supposed to happen…but why didn’t it? *Hears Sunset explaining it* Oh… WHAT DID WE MISS?!

Amp: We never DID check that footage from the Fall Formal, did we?

Bass: What footage? This ain’t a movie! *Looks away*

Amp: You remember when Sunset brainwashed us during the confrontation back then? Well, well, I had my brother’s MAGICAM’s take footage of everything that happened that night. I’ll have to show you sometime soon.  But for now, we need to go. Follow me. *Leads the way to his observatory just outside the city* Coming, Flash?

Flash:…R-Right! Sorry! *Flies over to Amp* She just joined The Rainbooms. She’s officially in now…

Amp: Still worried?

Flash: Now more than ever…

Amp: You realy do care about her, don’t you?

Flash: You really need to ask?

Amp: No, I suppose not. It’ll be okay, Flash. We just need to stick to the plan and we’ll be alright. Maybe then you can confess your feelings to your princess!

Flash: Yeah… HEY!

Amp: Eheheheh! *Flies ahead of the group*

Flash: Real funny, Amp!

Amp: Yes, I know! Now we’re going to my lab and observatory! Once there, we’ll meet up with the DJ! She’s hard at work, putting together our secret plan, so let’s not disturb her, understood?

Drum: Got it! Hey, Flash! I just remembered something!

Flash: What?

Drum: Don’t you have work today at the Pizza Hall?

Flash: *Eyes widen* OH NO! I FORGOT! Oh man! What do I do?! I can’t make deliveries like this!!! I don’t want to lose my job! My mom would kill me!

Amp: Flash, calm down! Look down there! Your body is already prepped for his delivery job. It seems your Id is still keeping up appearances including your job as a pizza delivery boy.

Drum: First tacos, then pizzas! Meals for kings!

Bass: Word, brudda!

Flash: Too bad I can’t really enjoy that right now…

Amp: We’ll be celebrating with a fine feast when this is over! *Sees three bright red lights glow from below* Huh?! *Hears a familiar three-part harmony of singing and recognizes it* I have a bad feeling…

Flash: You too?!

Amp: Yes! We have to hurry! If I’m right, I’d say they’re preparing an unpleasant-!

Sonata: SURPRISE!!!

Flash Drive: AAAGH!!! *Look in front of them to see the astral projections of The Dazzlings sneering at them* YOU!!!

Aria: Just as we thought! Some troublemakers are still free… Well, more like what “I” thought!

Adagio: Is that supposed to mean something?!

Sonata: Yeah! I thought it too!

Aria: Please, Sonata… You never think…period!

The boys just look at each other and shrug but just as they attempt to avoid them, save for Flash, their leader attempts something rather drastic while The Dazzlings are all distracted.

Adagio: Aria, what have I told you about keeping your opinions to you- *Gets hit with a guitar soundwave and the music stops*…..

Flash:……*After a moment of silence with everyone looking at him, he is glaring and panting in anger* Huff… Huff… THAT…was for Principal Celestia!

Drum: Dude…

Amp: ARE YOU CRAZY?! I didn’t say that it was safe to confront them! What about the new rule!

Adagio: *Slowly turns back around, chuckling while Aria and Sonata have their eyes on the boys* Huhuhuh… Huhuhuhuhuhuh… So… That’s how it is… Like a cornered prey… *Eyes gleam red*

Bass: Amp, dawg! It ain’t no good now!

Amp: But…

Bass: Think ‘bout it, dawg! D’ey is here right now! D’ey see us an’ now d’ey be onto us!

Amp: But… How?! How did you even know?!

Sonata: Duh! Because you guys told us!

Amp: Our bodies… Our Ids tipped you off?!

Aria: Like badge-less boyscouts! And we WERE going to just toy with you before…

Adagio: But now it seems you wish to battle for real!

Flash: Get it now, Amp? We didn’t have a choice before and we don’t now! We couldn’t hide even if we tried because our Ids have the biggest mouths! They’ve found us out, so what IS safe anymore?!

Amp: Uh… *Sighs* First Drum and Bass, now you? You said the new rule applied to you as well and yet YOU’RE the first one to break it!

Drum: He makes a point though! Let’s be honest here, too! I can’t stand this whole hide-n-seek game anymore anyways!

Adagio: What a shame. Your last moments to enjoy and you’re spending them with this pointless banter! I’m tired of waiting!

Sonata: Yeah, you guys are just like those Rainboom girls! All you do is talk, talk, talk!

Aria: While us, on the other hand…

Adagio: We would rather sing! *All three of them begin to change with their eyes turning red, their teeth turn into fangs, they grow fins, tails, and scales until they ultimately shed their teenage girl appearances to reveal their true forms as large seahorse-like creatures* HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAH!!! RRRGH!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAA~! *They sing out their voices as roars in three-part harmony*

Drum: WHAT-
Flash: THE-
Bass: FRUIT?!
Amp: OH DEAR!!!

The three Sirens stare down their prey with a cold intent of making them suffer a great deal of pain. They rise up and sing down a series of soundwaves at them, forcing them to scatter. Flash Drive all come to the conclusion that they have to fight now.

Amp: Well now you’ve done it, Flash! If we get destroyed from this, it’s on your head! And again about the rule-

Flash: Okay! I get it! I messed up my own rule! Let me redeem myself! Amp! I require authorization to proceed! Final request!

Amp:…..*Sighs* Okay… Authorization….GRANTED! We’re out of options anyway.

Drum: I guess this is kind of our fault, huh? Bass and I gave us away when we tried to take ourselves on…

Bass: Our bad, dawgs…

Amp: I suppose there are repercussions to everything. What are your orders, Flash?

Flash: Just one! We fight back! These monsters want a Battle Of The Bands, so let’s give ‘em one! We’ll show them here and now that you DON’T mess with C.H.S.!

Adagio: Oh? This should be good!

Flash: You wanted to break us apart?! Well let’s see how you do against us together when we fight you with the REAL SUPERPOWER OF TEAMWORK!!! *Upon saying that, everyone pauses…even the Sirens*

Bass: Uh… Whut?

Drum: Dude…that was the lamest thing you’ve ever said…

Amp: Was that from a script somewhere?

Bass: Yo, dawg! Da Pizza Hall got a call from a customer who wanted extra cheese on his pie!

Drum: Heheheheh… That’s funny!

Flash:….Just get your instruments…

Adagio: Ugh… He’s worse than Star Swirl…

Aria: Seriously?

Sonata: *Laughing* I don’t know, girls! I think he’s funny! And kind of cute!

Flash: DRGH!!! *Blushing* What did she just say?!

Drum: Dang it, Flash! Why do YOU get all the girls?!

Flash: ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I wouldn’t even THINK of going out with something like her even if she was HUMAN and not some giant fish!

Drum: Yeesh! Dude, I was kidding! Chill!

Flash: Not the time, Drum! *Hears sniffling and turns to see the blue one, Sonata tearing up* Huh?

Sonata:…..*Sniffling and crying* WAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAH!!!! HE’S SO MEAAAN!!! I…just…thought… WAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!

Adagio: Hmph! How heartless!

Aria: Insensitive jerk…

Flash: Uh… *Sighs and facepalms* Great, now I feel bad… *Sees the others just looking at him* …Yeah, yeah… I get it. Wrong move. Hey, uh… *Scratches the back of his head* Look, I didn’t mean it that way, I just… *Doesn’t notice Sonata grinning under her finned-hooves… She set him up for a sneak attack* Huh?! *Gets hit by Sonata’s soundwaves and flies up* AAAAAAAAAH!!!! *Drum catches him* OOF!!! Ngh… Thanks… *Facepalms again* Duh… Enemy… Of course she’d pull a sucker-punch like that!

Sonata: And just so you know, your body was way cuter! Your Id, I mean!

Bass: Hoot!

Flash: Well then you may as well give it up over him too! Cause that guy officially hates everyone!

Sonata: I don’t know. He might come around!

Adagio: Enough chit-chat! It’s time!

Flash: THANK YOU! I was getting sick of this! Ready, boys?!

Flash Drive: OH YEAH! *All equipped with their instruments*

Amp: Good to go! *Synthesizer fully powered on*

SONG BATTLE: EGO Flash Drive VS SIREN Dazzlings

With their conjured instruments in hand, the Egos of Flash Drive play out a song of striking offense, speaking out against the villains in front of them. Their soundwaves from their instruments and vocals turn into powerful attacks. The Sirens curiously allow the attacks to hit them before finally deciding to strike back. Their singing counters their incoming soundwaves and overpowers them, but the Egos refuse to give up as a montage of memories and visions of the recent events flood their heads. They can’t quit because they know that if they let these monsters get away, everyone and everything they care for could be lost. By the end of the song, the Sirens are covered in a cloud of smoke.

Flash: You’ve gotta be kidding me…

Bass: Nice try, brudda.

Aria: Though I could use a bite… *Grins* What do you say, Adagio?

Adagio: A four-course meal? Sure, why not?

Flash: Oh, gag me!

Amp: This is bad! We need to do something!

Flash: *Looks shocked and somewhat scared at the situation, then at his guitar, then back to the Sirens as they charge at them*…..*A word pops into his head as he closes his eyes* (No… NO! This can’t be… We can’t go like this! Not like this! Not because of me…) *The word begins to spark* Huh?! *P-H-O*….Pho…Phos…phor….*The word is now sparks brightly with lightning around it as Flash opens his eyes with them glowing a bright light* PHOSPHORUS!!! *Thinking of his friends, he lets out a burst of light that temporarily blinds the Sirens and Dazzlings below as he grabs all his friends and turns with them into bolts of lightning and launches all four of them towards Amp Atom’s laboratory with the lights fading quickly to successfully evade The Dazzlings* AAAAAAAH!!! *All land in the main lobby*…..Did…I just… What did I just do?!
