MLP Changeling Retribution CHAPTER X

Chapter X: Friends Of Honesty

Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy manage to get to the sanctuary at the top of Neighagra Falls where they find a small island in the center surrounded by flowing water. It is here where they must plant the seed that Zecora gave them. With the sun shining through the clouds onto that island and the others fast approaching, it’s now or never! Pinkie and Fluttershy quickly move to get the seed planted into the soil on the island and let the surrounding water seep into it in hopes that it grows quickly. Larva and Applejack make it up quickly, however with the flyers close behind. Fluttershy takes a defensive position in front of the plant to protect the seed as it begins to grow into a sapling. Pinkie grabs her Party Cannon and waits for the right moment.

Larva: Hrrrgh!!! This is getting irritating! Why do your friends have to be such pains in the neck?!

Applejack: *Panting* Oh no! We’re here already?! HUH?! *Gets hit by a flying crabapple and gets dizzy* OOHWAAAH!..... *Falls over*Granny…. You brought home another stop sign from Manehatten… *Derpy eyes and smile*

Larva: WHAT?! *Tries to move Applejack’s body, but she’s out of it and temporarily paralyzed* HEY! APPLEJACK! GET UP! WAKE UP, DARN IT! I CAN’T DO THIS MYSELF!

Pinkie Pie: Well what’ya know?! One buwwet weft! HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEEEH!!!!

Rainbow Dash: Nice shot, Pinkie! She’s down!

Rarity: Is she alright?!

Twilight: She will be soon! *Readies the Element of Honesty*

Larva: *Looks up* No…. WAIT! YOU CAN’T!

Twilight: I told your mother before, Larva! Only cowards who can’t do anything themselves think they can tell others what they can’t do. Applejack is strong! *Lifts Applejack’s head up and hovers the Element of Honesty around her neck* She’s capable! And with this, and all of her friends, she can stand up to you! And SHE CAN WIN! Time to wake up, A.J.! *Element of Magic glows with the Element of Honesty*

Applejack: Ngh…. *Opens eyes* Huh?! WHUH?! *Levitates back up onto her hooves* Twilight? Girls?!

Twilight: Applejack! Are you alright?

Applejack: I… NGH! *Clotheslines Twilight and jumps onto the island and knocks Fluttershy into the water* AAAAAH!!!

Fluttershy: EEYAAH!!! *Splashes*

Twilight: NGAAAAH!!! Applejack! What’re you?!

Applejack: It ain’t me! Larva! He’s still…

Larva: DID YOU THINK YOU WOULD WIN THAT EASILY!?! *Has Applejack slam Twilight into the ground then lift her up with both front hooves strangling her at the neck* HUHUHUHUH!!! I’ve come too far to let it all get wasted now! ELEMENTS OF HARMONY?! ELEMENTS OF HORSE-MANEUR IS MORE LIKE IT!

Twilight: NGH!!! *Struggling to breathe until she gets thrown at Rainbow Dash after she and Rarity managed to save Fluttershy* EYAAAAAAH!!!! *Collides* OOF!!! *Panting* NO! APPLEJACK!

Applejack: TWILIGHT! You dirty… ACK! *Steps toward the plant* Wh- What is this?!

Larva: The two with pink hair seemed to be protective of this plant… Was it important? Like… a last hope perhaps?! HUHUHUHUHUH… HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! HYAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! *Has Applejack stomp it into the dust and poison it while laughing*

Twilight: No…. It can’t be!

Applejack: That was supposed to save me… *Has a soulless and broken expression* You’re insane…

Larva: Oh, get over it! THIS is how it felt to me!

Applejack: How what felt?!

Larva: Tell me! How does it feel, Applejack?! How does it feel to watch your whole world suffer?! To watch all your hopes and dreams DIE?! To know that you’re helpless to stop your world and loved ones from decaying and ALL YOU CAN DO IS WATCH! It destroyed me… AND NOW IT WILL DESTROY YOU, TOO!!! Time to end this! HUHUHUH! *Has Applejack step towards the water* This last bit of poison! AND IT ALL ENDS!!!

Rainbow Dash: *Gets up and flies at Applejack again* Oh no you DON’T! *Collides and gets her over the water and onto dry land and pins her down as hard as she can* Applejack! You have to fight this! You can’t give up already!

Applejack:….I….I can’t… He’s too strong… and he just killed our last chance…

Rainbow Dash: And what?! You’re just gonna give up?! WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU!? That isn’t you, Applejack! You don’t quit! Not ever! That’s why I looked up to you!

Applejack: Huh?! *Struggling* You... You looked up to me?

Rainbow Dash: As much as Princess Celestia herself, A.J.! *Element of Loyalty glows* I consider you my rival because I know that whenever we have a goal, we never give up and we both shoot for that goal! Even if there’s something big blocking our way! You’re always strong enough to push whatever’s in your way out! I just fly around it, but you… You knock it right down! Larva’s just a big wall in your way! What’s your real goal?! Do you want to just let Larva take his revenge and destroy Equestria?! Or do you want to be free and help us stop him?! There’s only one pony who can stop him now! And that’s YOU, Applejack!

Applejack:………… *Honesty glows once more*Rainbow…

Rarity: *Generosity glows* You can resist his control! You already can speak for yourself! You just have to find him in your mind and get him out!

Applejack: Rarity….

Fluttershy: *Kindness glows as she notices the light around them starting to widen* You’re not alone either, Applejack. We’re here for you!

Applejack: Fluttershy….

Pinkie Pie: *Laughter glows* Yeah! Larva’s nothing but a big Bully Mc-Meaniepants! He’s got nothing on you!

Applejack: Pinkie….

Twilight: *Magic shines* Because you have what he doesn’t! You have us… and the Magic of Friendship!

Applejack: *Tears up as Honesty shines brightly* Twilight… Everypony… Thank y’all!

The Elements of Harmony let out a colorful light around both Applejack and the dead sapling and the light from above shines much brighter. Applejack levitates up once more and over to the island where the sapling starts to perk back to life and grow much faster. It is then that Twilight remembers Zecora’s words. “A seed to sprout… is the cure for doubt. With water as pure as an infant’s soul… that surrounds a patch of fertile soil, shall a great tree grow… with the sunlight’s glow.” “This pestilence… it was caused by a vengeful thought… What wins the battle that is not fought?”

Larva: WHAT?! NOT THIS AGAIN!

Twilight: What wins the battle not fought? Of course! We’ve never won with violence! We’ve always won by not fighting, but instead utilizing the spirit of Harmony!

Celestia: I could not have put it better myself! *Voice echoes as she descends from the clouds in the light and steps down onto the island while everypony is speechless. Applejack lowers down with her and Larva not able to control her at all* Hello, Applejack.

Applejack: Princess Celestia…. Howdy… *Bows*

Larva: What are you doing?! I DIDN’T TELL YOU TO BOW!

Applejack: Quiet, you!

Celestia:….Prince Larva of the Changelings… I can see you. A sad sight you are. Cold and twisted inside… much like your mother.

Larva: What did you say?!

Celestia: I wouldn’t have said it if it weren’t true! Your kind earned its fate for all the damage it has done to others! But I will not have you linked to the past any longer.

Larva: HMPH! What will you do?! Banish Applejack just to get rid of me?! My poison will still put Equestria in a state of permanent illness! Besides, you need her to work your precious Elements of Harmony! You can’t do anything to me without doing it to her first!

Celestia: *Smirks* Hmph… Believe what you will, but you’ve already lost.

Larva: LIKE I’M AFRAID OF THE LIKES OF YOU! You lost to my mother personally! And at this point, I’m already more powerful than any Changeling to exist! I won’t ever bow to you!

Celestia: I would rather you not anyway. In fact, I’m done talking to you now. Applejack?

Applejack: Yes, Princess?

Celestia: You seem like you haven’t eaten in a while. Are you hungry?

Applejack: *Stomach rumbles*…..Well… now that ya mention it… Heheh. I’m as hungry as a horse!

Celestia: Well then, that being the case… *Makes a glowing apple grow from the tree in full cycle at lightning speed and picks it for Applejack with light magic* Here, have something to eat. You like apples, right?

Larva: It’s glowing with a bright light magic! What will that do?! WAIT! NO! DON’T EAT THAT!

Applejack: *Eyes water up* Love ‘em! *Bows head and gets ready to eat* Bottoms up! *Takes a bite and starts eating and the markings on her start to glow* MMM!!!

Larva: NO! WAIT! WHAT’S GOING ON?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!! *Feels a seething burn as the curse marks on Applejack all begin to recede* STOOOOOOOOP!!!!!

Applejack: *Gulps* MMPH!!! *Lets out a powerful-* BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURP!!!!!!!! *The belch shoots out black clouds and it manifests into Larva as he screams in pain until he disappears* HOO-WEE! That was the best apple I ever did eat, I tell ya whut!

Celestia: Bless you!

Applejack: *Burp* Eheheheh… Pardon, Princess.

Celestia: It’s quite alright, Applejack. I’m just glad you’re okay.

Twilight: You came at the best possible time!

Pinkie Pie: And the Princess saves the day again!

Rainbow Dash: Way to go, Applejack! Ya did it! See, what I tell ya?! You pushed him right outta ya! Nice burp, by the way!

Pinkie Pie: Yeah! I don’t think even I could beat that!

Rarity: But in front of the princess, Applejack?! *Smiles* Oh, who am I kidding?!

Fluttershy: You and Celestia made the tree grow! And it saved you! Just like Twilight said it would!

Twilight: I promised that we’d find a way to save you.

Applejack: And y’all didn’t lie or let me down! Thank y’all… for everything! *They all gather around her for a group hug* Whoa, hey now!

Celestia: *Smiles* Good… Just as it should be… Now to fix every- *Hears a loud thunderous boom* *Gasp* What?! It can’t be… I’m still sensing him?! How is that possible?!

Twilight: What?! But we just saw him disintegrate! Oh no! *They separate*

Rainbow Dash: Fine then! Come back, Larva! We’ve got one last bone to pick with you! Bring it!

Fluttershy: Oh my! *Sees lightning shooting around the hole in the clouds until it crashes down in front of them* EEP!!! Is that him?!

Rarity: Indeed it is! Brace yourselves!

Pinkie Pie: But I don’t want braces! My teeth are fine!

Larva: *Steps out of the smoke from the lightning bolt* So… this is how it all ends… Just as it began… The power of Beelzebub… plus my desire for revenge… It all makes me UNSTOPPABLEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! *Lets out a burst of power*

Celestia: I will aid you this time, everypony! It’s time to finish what has been started!

Twilight: Then let’s not waste any time!

Applejack: This is personal now! Lemme at ’em!

Larva: *Hears the voices of countless Changelings including his mother, father, and sister in his mind* NGH! GUUUUURRK!!!!

Voice of Exy: Big brother…. What they’re wrong about is… you do have someone! You have me… you have Mommy! You have all of us!

Larva: *Gasp* E….Exy?!

Voice of Buzzworth: The Legion isss with you, my ssson!

Larva: Father…

Voice of Chrysalis: You have done so well to get this far, Larva…

Larva:…..!!!!

Voice of Chrysalis: My child. You’re the pride and joy of the Changeling race! It is time now. Fulfill your promise and give every bit of your wrath to them! DESTROY THEM!!!

Larva: Huhuhuhuhuh…. HUHUHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!! HEEYAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAAH! Yes, Mother! EVERYONE! THIS FIGHT IS FOR ALL OF YOU!!! PONIES! I may have said it before… but… YOU! DIE! NOOOOOOOW!!!!!!
