Flash Dreams Of FALCON PUNCH!!!

Back in Canterlot, Shining Armor promised his friend and protégé, Flash Sentry, that if he were to fulfill his hoped destiny and became the prince to marry Princess Mi Amore Cadenza-Cadence and become the ruler of a kingdom within the country of Equestria, Flash would be the right-hoof-stallion that he would trust as the captain of his guard troops. Over-joyed, Flash wondered how that would go. After all, Shining Armor himself was a captain at the time of making this promise.

When it finally happened and everything that Shining Armor had predicted came to fruition, Flash was more excited than ever! The promotion that would advance his very own destiny would finally come! And Shining Armor is a stallion of his word. Shortly after marrying Princess Cadence, Shining Armor sent a message to Flash via mail that he is to be transferred to a new location called the “Crystal Empire”.

After a few days of preparation including saying good-bye to the friends he made in Canterlot and forwarding the new address of his job location to his mother in Trottingham, Flash takes a train to the Crystal Empire, which at this point is no longer under attempted siege by King Sombra. Anxious and bored, Flash reads the message that Shining Armor sent him once more.

Shining Armor: “Dear Cheeseball,
As I’ve said before, the title of Captain goes to those who the previous one passes to. Starting the day you arrive, you, Flash Sentry, shall be the new Captain of my Crystal Empire Royal Guard!
Signed Prince Shining Armor”

Flash: HNNNG!!! I CAN’T WAIT! …..*Sigh* I just wish I could’ve flown there. Or maybe taken one of those faster trains. This one won’t get there until tomorrow morning… And I can’t play my guitar because it’ll annoy the others… *Looks out the window up at the stars in the sky as the world around him moves* Well, the wait will be worth it! I can tell!.....*Yawns* Okay, maybe a little sleep’ll make time move faster. *Gets to his cabin bed*I remember our training like it was just yesterday… But now… I’m gonna eat the fruits of that training… Nighty-night… *Falls asleep* Zzzzzzzzz…..zzzzzzz……zzzzzzz……

Flash now finds himself in a dream where he is already in the midst of a fast-paced battle between chariots where he and a Nightmare Pegasus are pulling them and the unicorns in the chariots are none other than Prince Shining Armor and the late King Sombra. They are both racing around in a floating bowl in space and shooting back and forth both Light and Dark magic. That is until Shining Armor orders Flash to make a hasty move.

Shining Armor: NGH! SOMBRAAA!!!

King Sombra: Heheheheheh…. Don’t even think about it! I WON’T let you win this time! HUHUHUHAHAHA!!!

Shining Armor: Flash! It’s no good trying to deal with the problem like this! We need to move faster!

Flash: I’m going as fast as I can, sir! I don’t know if I CAN go any faster!

Shining Armor: Don’t forget your training! Don’t forget who you chose to get this far for! You were able to surpass the seemingly impossible before! How did you do that?! What drove you to shatter the boundaries?!

Flash:……The purpose behind… everything that what I do… and WHO I AM!

Shining Armor: And what IS that purpose!?

Flash: To protect… *Imagines his friends and then his mother* Them… Mom…. *Snaps his eyes open* RRGH!!! PHOS...PHORUUUUUUUUS!!! *Glows a bright gold and boosts like a lightning bolt with the Lightning Spear in front of him, pulling the chariot at an incredible speed* FULL POWER!!!

SONG: The Meaning Of Truth (HIRO-X)-F-ZERO Falcon Densetsu

King Sombra: WHAT?! *Gets struck by the electric current and shot multiple times* GRRCK!!! YOU-!

N. Pegasus:  AAAH!!! I’M LOSING MY FOOTING!

King Sombra: What is this?! HOW CAN THIS BE?!?! *Loses balance* AAGH!!

Shining Armor: King Sombra! It looks like Tartarus is calling for ya! Let’s not keep it waiting!

N. Pegasus: *Falls into the flaming abyss below* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Shining Armor: *Loses his footing and almost slips out of his position* WHOA!!!

Flash: Captain Armor!

Shining Armor:…Hmph. As I’ve said before, the title of Captain goes to those who the previous one passes to. Starting the day you arrive, you, Flash Sentry, shall be the new Captain of my Crystal Empire Royal Guard!

Flash: *Gasps*

King Sombra: I don’t think so! *Flies out of his chariot* RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!

Shining Armor: Uh-oh! *Jumps out of his chariot*

King Sombra: I WILL NOT DIE AGAIN! NOT IN THIS DREAAAAAAM!!!!!

Shining Armor: ELITE GUNGE LAAAAAAANCE! *Horn glows along with his right front hoof as he impacts Sombra with a sharpened aura around it and they fall back down*

Flash: CAPTAIN ARMOR!!!!

King Sombra: *The abyss below explodes around them and he is engulfed by the light* RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shining Armor: *Engulfed with him*……….

An explosion goes off and it extends its light out through the entire galaxy vertically. Flash is snapped awake by the explosion’s great flare.

Flash: CAPTAIN CORNDOG!!! *Jumps awake and looks around with some weird looks from the other passengers being directed at him* Huh? Uh…. Eheheh… *Scratches head* Sorry… Just had a… dream… *The passengers just sigh, shrug, and look away* Hmmm….. *Sighs and looks out the window to see the Crystal Empire very close in sight* Mom tells me that sometimes our dreams try to tell us something in our sleep. Something that has something to do with what’s on our minds… If that’s the case, then I think I’m gonna have one hay of a time in this new job! (But why did I say “Captain Corndog” when I woke up?)

The train makes its way to the Crystal Empire as the sun rises over the horizon behind it with the light shining right through the beautiful crystals of the distant palace. Flash’s eyes beam with a big smile on his face. The next big step in his life is about to begin!
