TAILS CHAPTER 2~ WHERE DRAGONS RULE

BADLANDS ZONE ACT 2
~Draco Mountains

Tails feels the intense heat turn up to 11 as he moves closer to Dragon Territory. Still collecting Rings, he does his best not to get burnt from fountains of lava and falling rocks from avalanches and eruptions. Being familiar with Lava Reef Zone from Angel Island and Hill Top Zone from his own home, West Island, he has a good idea of what he's dealing with and has an advantage. But instead of mechanical ponies this time, he has to deal with Eggman-posessed mechanical dragons. Yeah, Eggman managed to get DRAGONS on his side now! Tails has to be very cautious as he runs through this dangerous area.

All goes well until he gets spotted by a gang of adolescent dragons that lock onto him and alert the adult dragons to get them to attack. They set their crosshairs on Tails and look to make him toast for breakfast! Tails is aware of these new persuers and kicks it into high gear. Jumping to high points off of platforms and enemy dragons, he seemingly escapes them and continues forth, collecting 50+ Rings, he makes it to the end but is stopped short by the teenaged dragons once again. This could be bad.

Tails: Oh no! I have to deal with these guys?!

Angel: You know them?

Tails: Not personally. But I've seen them in the show. They were jerks then, and they're jerks now! I've been bullied a lot when I was little. So I know only one way to deal with their kind! *Angel's Ring glows and Tails takes stance* I'm gonna enjoy this!

BOSS- TAILS VS. D.R.A.G.O.N. G.A.N.G.

Tails attacks one, but gets stopped by the other two. He tries to think of a better way to attack, but gets knocked around all three so fast that he can barely think! It's not long before he realizes that these guys mean business and ganging up on others is what they do best. He can't even think straight, let alone attack! Tails is in trouble. They're proving to be too much for him to handle alone. When they get around him and all breathe a triangle-formation fire attack, Tails thinks he's toast for sure! But just as the flames clear out, a barrier of gemstones is shown around him. The shield opens and reveals Rarity and Spike at Tails' side!

Tails: Huh?! You two?

Spike: Hi there!

Tails: You didn't go back home?

Rarity: Spike says that you were the one who saved us. We simply had to return the favor!

Tails: Well, okay. But try not to get yourselves hurt!

Spike: That won't be a problem! I've dealt with these guys before!

Tails: Yeah, I know... you ran away!

Spike & Rarity: How'd you know that?!

Tails: Uh... never mind! Let's just do this!

Spike and Rarity are a bit weirded out by that, but they cooperate and help him take the Dragon Gang on in a 3-on-3.... Pokemon Gen V Triple Battle? Yes, the playstyle of this boss is a triple battle from Pokemon Black and White. Complete with stats and move-pools.

Dragon Boss- HP-50, ATK-30, SPD-40, DEF-20 Growl, Flamethrower, Dragon Rush, Fly
Dragon Bangs- HP-70, ATK-10, SPD-60, DEF-5 Quick Attack, Ember, Agility, Dragonbreathe
Dragon Bloat- HP-10, ATK-70, SPD-10, DEF-50 Body Slam, Flare Blitz, Take Down, Bulk Up

Tails- HP-50, ATK-30, SPD-100, DEF-20 Extreme Speed, Close Combat, Bone-Marang, Agility
Spike- HP-30, ATK-40, SPD-30, DEF-60 Dragonbreath, Headbutt, Defence Curl, Dragon Claw
Rarity- HP-40, ATK-40, SPD-30, DEF-70 Rock Polish, Stone-Edge, Power Gem, Wide Guard

Imagine it as you will. It's your standard turn-based battle. Tails has some healing items with him to heal the party when they go down or get hurt. Eventually, with enough damage and critical hits, the Dragon Gang goes down.

K.O.! YOU WIN! Tails earned 9342 EXP. Rarity earned 7543 EXP. Spike earned 8765 and LVL UP
Spike is trying to learn Bulk-Up! Forget a move? Spike forgot how to do Defence Curl.... and... Learned Bulk-Up! The Dragon Gang flew away. Tails and co. celebrate their victory!

Upon their victory, Tails manages to finish the Act by hitting the goalpost. However, he starts to feel the exhaustion from both the intense heat and the tough battle he just managed to survive with Spike and Rarity's help. He falls to his hands and knees. Spike and Rarity go to help Tails but stop to see what looks like an angel lowering down over him.

Angel: You two. Could you please see him to a shelter?

Tails: I'll... I'll be fine.

Angel: Take a bit of rest, please. You can hardly stand.

Tails: I can't just rest now... Not when Eggman's still here... (Ugh... I can't see straight... Seriously! Lava Reef wasn't anything like this! It's too hot! I can't take it anymore!) Ugh... *Collapses*

Angel: Tails? Tails! *Vanishes into the Ring*

Spike: Hey! Is he alright?!

Rarity: Spike! Let's help him!

Spike: Right!

They both help Tails to a shelter-cave to cool off. Tails rests set up to the wall and the party takes this moment to breathe. Spike sees only one healing item left after the battle. He remembers what Twilight taught him about first-aid, so he atleast knows how to use it. With the 50+ Rings ready, the portal to the Special Zone is opened and ready in Act 3. It's just a matter of patience and advancing.
